Talent Shows & Penpals

Well we had our Talent Show this morning. I must say it keeps on getting better and better. This year we had a variety of acts that showed a multitude of skill and diversity. I was most impressed with a little grade 1 student whose performance stole the show. It’s amazing how a little person can have so much courage, and yet be a leader when they are 6. He will definitely be a front runner for next years show.

We also had our penpals from Edmonton come and visit. It was amazing having them come and look at our school. Our Cree cultural advisor did an amazing job organizing activities for the kids and a great time was had by all. My penpal’s teacher commented on how the kids loved coming and enjoyed learning how to say thank-you; ay-hay, in Cree.

I managed to also get my cumes done tonight, as well as morning plans for tomorrow. I get to go bowling with Bethany’s class tomorrow morning and I’m excited to finally be a part of her class.

It’s hard being a teacher, as well as a parent, as I don’t always have the time allotted to me to be able to join her on her adventures with her class. I know tomorrow will be awesome though.

Only three days left with my students. I know it will be memorable!
